ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Description:

This hybrid role combines data center technical leadership with comprehensive account management responsibilities. The position requires overseeing data center operations in Indonesia while managing client relationships and business development activities in the Indonesia market.

Job Summary:

Data Center Operations Leadership

Oversee site team operations and manage all aspects of data center facilities.

Initiate strategies to achieve measurable improvements in energy consumption in conjunction with Engineering Manager

Develop and implement innovative programs that reduce operating costs, increase productivity and revenue

Manage transition processes for new sites by liaising with transition team members

Support critical business functions including financial, procurement, vendor management, and contract management

 

Account Management & Client Relations

Provide consistent high-quality contracted corporate property services to local and regional clients

Be accountable for net operating revenue performance and organic growth targets

Develop strong relationships with key personnel in clients' organizations

Serve as escalation point for clients and maintain client satisfaction levels

Prepare annual client property operating budgets and monthly performance reports

Market Knowledge & Business Development

Stay informed about developments, trends, and regulations in the Indonesian data center market

Conduct regular market research to identify opportunities and emerging technologies

Identify cross-selling opportunities for other business lines

Assist with new business development activities and proposal processes

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

Develop and maintain relationships with local data center vendors (power suppliers, HVAC contractors, security providers)

Negotiate service agreements, pricing, and contracts within budget parameters

Collaborate with internal stakeholders including IT teams, engineering teams, and business unit leaders

Communicate effectively with senior management through regular performance updates

Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and certifications

Implement robust security protocols including access control and disaster recovery procedures

Conduct regular risk assessments and develop mitigation plans

Maintain business continuity procedures for emergencies or disruptions

 

Requirement:

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 10 years proven experience in data center operations, preferably in a leadership role.

Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure, electrical systems, cooling technologies, and security protocols.

Familiarity with local regulations, market dynamics, and vendors in the Indonesian data center industry.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders.

Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence.
