Job Summary:

ClearBridge Investments is looking for a Data & Automation Engineer to join their New York-based Applications Development & Support team.  This individual will be part of a newly minted Data & Automation group responsible for all data-related initiatives of the company.

Key Responsibilities and Duties Include, but not Limited to:

Build data platforms, data architectures, data products, and data pipelines, needed to enable data analysts and making data driven decisions. Design, implement and maintain data models, manage datasets pertinent to the investment life cycle, asset-level and financial operations dataParticipate in the full lifecycle of ETL software development - analysis, design, implementation, documentation, and testingDrive the onboarding and attribution of newly acquired datasets into our data environment; manage all aspects of the loading processProactively look for opportunities to optimize data loading structures and develop innovative approaches to improve the onboarding and integrity of the dataCreate and execute unit tests on all solutions and work with QA engineers to ensure integration tests are complete.

Ideal Qualifications and Experience:

3+ years of experience as a data & automation engineer with extensive experience in architecting data warehouses, data lakes, and data platforms for consumption by analytics and data science/ML.Extensive experience in building data pipelines (batch ETL, micro batches, and real-time streaming).Strong knowledge of cloud data platforms (either one of AWS, GCP, Snowflake, Azure)Experience of using (not limited to) SQL, Visualization, Reporting & ETL tools (PowerBI, FiveTran, Dbt, Alteryx, SSIS, SSRS).Ideally, experience of working within the Asset Management industryStrong skills in Python, ETL transformations, data modeling, & feature engineeringExperience owning data platforms end-to-end (from data generation/ingestion to curates/aggregated layers), designing, estimating, implementing, testing, maintaining, debugging, and supporting high-quality software in production.Experience in building foundational, curated and aggregated data layers enabling self-service business intelligence (easily consumable by non-technical users)Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and organizational skillsStrong analytical & troubleshooting skills
