Discover Impactful Work:As a Data Automation and Data App Engineer, you will help craft, build, and support automated workflows, data integrations, and low-code applications that enable efficient and scalable reporting across the enterprise. Supporting the DATASCAPE and CIS IT Reporting programs, your work will remove manual bottlenecks, unify data sources, and accelerate time-to-insight for IT decision-makers.
This is a hands-on role at the intersection of data engineering and business process automation. You will bring together tools like Power Platform, Azure Logic Apps, and SQL to streamline how data moves through our systems—ensuring accuracy, repeatability, and traceability.
A Day in the LifeDevelop automation workflows using Power Automate, Azure Logic Apps, and other low-code tools to streamline data refreshes, notifications, and report delivery.Build and support custom Power Apps and reusable components to simplify data input, review, or workflow approvals.Collaborate with report developers, data engineers, and IT customers to automate processes supporting Power BI reporting pipelines.Build and run secure API integrations between Microsoft 365 services, SharePoint, Dataverse, Azure SQL, and enterprise data sources.Participate in design reviews and technical discussions to ensure automation solutions meet business and compliance requirements.Monitor performance and proactively tackle any issues with deployed workflows or apps, resolving failures efficiently.Document processes, logic, dependencies, and testing steps to support reuse, transparency, and supportability.Align with the standardization of reusable components, templates, and standard methodologies across automation efforts.Advocate for the use of automation within the team and across Global IT, helping others find opportunities for efficiency gains.EducationBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field. Equivalent experience accepted.Exposure to enterprise data programs, AI initiatives, or digital transformation efforts is a strong plus.Experience, Skills & AbilitiesProven experience in automation engineering, application development, or data operations in a cloud-based environment.Proficient with Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse) and Azure services (e.g., Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure SQL).Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including SharePoint, Teams, and Outlook integration scenarios.Comfortable writing expressions, scripts, or logic in Power FX, SQL, or JSON to support app and workflow design.Demonstrated experience integrating APIs or using connectors to build end-to-end data or process automation.Solid understanding of data governance, security roles, permissions, and error handling within automation flows.Highly organized with the ability to document workflows, dependencies, and change logs clearly.Effective communicator and collaborator, able to work across time zones and technical fields.Experience with CI/CD for Power Platform or ALM frameworks is a plus.Our MissionOur mission is to enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.
