Key ResponsibilitiesArchitect and evolve enterprise-wide data models across key domains like Product, Customer, Supply, Finance, and LocationApply Kimball dimensional modelling for consumption layer design and Data Vault methodology for raw and business layer integrationDefine and maintain data architecture principles, patterns, and standardsCollaborate with data platform teams on governance, quality, lineage, and optimisationConsult with squads on physical data modellingContribute to metadata and data catalog initiatives to improve discoverability and reuseSupport our shift to a Data Product Ownership model, enabling domain-aligned teamsCore Skills & ExperienceProven experience in enterprise data architecture in a complex organisationExpertise in Kimball and Data Vault 2.0 methodologiesStrong grasp of data modelling, metadata, and governance knowledgeHands-on experience with modern data platforms (Databricks, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Azure)Ability to define and drive architecture principles, patterns, and best practicesExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsRetail industry experience is a bonus but not a deal breakerAt ASDA, you’ll be part of a collaborative, forward-thinking team that values innovation, inclusivity, and continuous learning.
