Data Analytics Team Lead
**Job Description** BAE Systems is seeking a Data and Analytics Team Lead to support our Combat Mission Systems (CMS) business. This role falls within our Digital Enterprise Directorate and will face multiple challenging projects while supporting our developing digital environment development and deployment to our business. At BAE Systems, we believe in work-life balance. We work a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off, and our hybrid approach provides plenty of on-site collaboration and support for new staff onboarding as well as the flexibility for working remotely some days. As a Data and Analytics Team Lead, you will: + Work as part of a team designing, building, and maintaining our data infrastructure, ensuring accurate and timely data accessibility for teams and applications, often involving large datasets and complex systems. + Provide strategic vision, leadership and management of the data governance practices, design, architecture and implementation of enterprise data collection, storage, mining, visualization, analytics, integration, and interface strategies to improve systems, business, research and clinical capabilities. + Plan, execute and monitor performance of data projects including regular status reporting, cost and schedule responsibilities and risk management. + Build analytic systems and predictive models. + Manage a team of data scientists, business analysts, architects and data modelers. + Optimize data strategies and find innovative ways to use data operations best to meet business needs. + Ask strategic questions reflecting an understanding of a business problem and crafting how data models can help accordingly. + Manage data systems and ensuring information accuracy to support business operations and requirements. + Work with customers, business partners and stakeholders to maintain all of the database's safety and security to prevent unauthorized access and potential leak of confidential and/or secure data. + Hands on development of models, business requirements, governance documentation and visualizations. + Responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the data infrastructure, including databases, data warehouses, and data pipelines. + Collect data from various sources (databases, APIs, etc.) and implement efficient data pipelines to transform raw data into usable formats such as dashboards and associated reports and insights. + Ensure that data is stored securely, efficiently, and in a manner that is accessible for analysis and reporting. + Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data, implementing data validation and quality control processes. + Optimize data pipelines for speed, scalability, and performance, ensuring that data is available when and where it's needed. + Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure that data infrastructure meets their needs. + Troubleshoot issues with data infrastructure, monitor system performance, and perform regular maintenance to ensure smooth operation. + Support configuration control, documentation and change impact analysis on the businesses data architecture model including identification of Authoritative Source Of Truth (ASOT) databases, connectors to replicate data from ASOTS to Midas and/or AWS Cloud Environments through data transformation within Power BI. + Be directly involved in developing data models and process flows as well as liaising with multiple stakeholders - mainly engineering, to document and/or validate the current state or As-Is business process. **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + Bachelor's Degree in Data Management, Data Science, Math, Statistics or equivalent with 6 years of relevant experience. + Proficient in both AGILE and Waterfall project planning and execution and experience using project planning tools such as Microsoft Project. + Must be able to translate data into information; resulting in data-driven actions/recommendations. + Proven ability to work within teams in which your contributions are critical to success. + 5 years of experience providing direct guidance to staff on program tasks and direction, performance feedback and improvement goals. + Proficiency with tools such as Power BI, Visual Basic, MS Excel, MATLAB/Simulink, Mathcad, MagicDraw, Midas, AWS/AWS Redshift, SSAS, Dataiku, Oracle, SQL. **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + Master s Degree in mathematics, statistics, business, engineering, physical/applied sciences, or management discipline (business administration, accounting, finance, economics or management information technology) and 10 or more years of relevant work experience. + Experience with structured problem solving techniques. + Knowledge of technical requirements and systems relevant to Combat Vehicles. + Experience working with development teams. + Knowledge of metrics related to Agile and use of them to report back to team members at all levels. + Scrum / Agile management. + In-depth knowledge of Engineering, Supply Chain and Manufacturing environments.\#LI-Hybrid #LI-JR1 **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $118095 - $200762 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
