Data Analytics Senior

Job Description Summary:

As a Data Analytics Senior in Digital Services and Experience, you will play a crucial role in delivering future-focused, consumer-centric, and prescriptive solutions that allow GM to stay proactive and nimble. You will join the DSX Analytics hub and contribute to the development of high-quality, scalable, and curated data products.

These data products serve several lines of business, including Loyalty, OnStar, Digital Services & Experience, Manufacturing and Growth Businesses. Additionally, you will collaborate with other Data Scientists and work cross-functionally with partner teams to create a solid data analytics foundation.

What you will do (responsabilities):

Develop custom ETL solutions using Python.

Work as a member of a cross-functional team to propose and implement high-impact data and analytic solutions that address business challenges across a variety of business units.

Apply data analysis techniques to drive data-driven decision making and solve complex business problems.

Create breakthrough solutions, performing exploratory and targeted data analyses.

Analyze large amounts of diverse information to discover trends and patterns.

Undertake preprocessing of structured and unstructured data.

Present complex information using data visualization techniques.

Work with diverse technical teams and provide data and analytic oversight to ensure project deliverables fulfill business needs and timing.

Your skills and abilities (required qualifications):

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related field.

Collaboration and versioning with Github.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Practical experience analyzing and curating large-scale customer event data products.

Ability to identify tasks which require automation and automate them.

Programming skills in data and analytics platforms, big data processing frameworks and languages, and development tools including Azure (or similar), Databricks, Spark, Python, SQL, and GitHub.
