Data Modeling & Transformation

Develop, test, and deploy robust data models and transformations using modern tools (e.g., dbt) to create the core datasets for analytics.

Software Engineering for Data

Champion and implement software engineering best practices—including version control (Git), code reviews, testing, and CI/CD—within the analytics codebase.

Testing & Data Quality

Build and automate comprehensive testing frameworks to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and freshness of all data models. You are the guardian of data quality.

Documentation & Discoverability

Create and maintain clear documentation for data models, metrics, and business logic, making data easily discoverable and understandable for all users.

Collaboration & Enablement

Partner closely with Data Engineers to understand source data structures and with Data Analysts to understand their requirements, enabling them to work more efficiently and with greater confidence.

Performance Optimization

Optimize the performance of data models and queries to ensure that dashboards and reports are fast and responsive.

Educational qualification:

MBA Finance or Bachelor / Masters Degree in any IT Field (with Data Analytics focus)

Experience

Several years of professional experience in a similar role (Data Engineer, BI Specialist, Data Scientist) with a clear focus on the financial sector.

Mandatory/requires Skills :
Core Technical Skills

Expert-level SQL is non-negotiable. Proven, hands-on experience with a modern data transformation tool, with dbt being strongly preferred.

Software Engineering Mindset

A strong belief in and practical experience with applying software engineering principles (version control with Git, testing, CI/CD, code modularity) to data work.

Professional Experience

Experience in a role focused on data transformation, such as Analytics Engineering, BI Development, or Data Engineering with an emphasis on the transformation layer.

Platform Knowledge

Hands-on experience working with modern cloud data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery) and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

Business Acumen

The ability to understand complex business logic (especially in finance) and translate it into clean, logical, and reusable data models.

Problem-Solving

A methodical and detail-oriented problem-solver who is passionate about building reliable, high-quality systems.

Fluent in English (written and spoken).
