The New Porgera Limited now has a vacancy for qualified and experienced individuals in the position of Data Analyst - National Content.

About the role

The Data Analyst - National Content supports the principal - National Content by developing clear, accurate reports and dashboards that track progress against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). The role focuses on automating data collection, analysis, and visualization to support high-level internal and external reporting. 

This role is an excellent opportunity for an early-career analyst to strengthen technical skills, gain hands-on experience with enterprise-level tools, and contribute to national and global reporting. As a newly created, high-visibility position, it offers a strong foundation and valuable exposure for building a sought-after career. 

In this role, you will. 

Collect, collate, and analyze data from multiple departments to report on National Content KPIs.  Build and maintain interactive dashboards in Power BI for routine and ad-hoc reporting.  Prepare presentations and reports for senior management, regulators, and external stakeholders.  Ensure data is accurate, standardized, timely, and compliant with reporting requirements.  Monitor contractual obligations in Borealis and flag gaps or non-compliance.  Provide validated data and insights for quarterly and annual reporting processes.  Maintain a high level of health and safety awareness and comply with the NPL Occupational Health & Safety Policy and all health & Safety Policy

About You

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience

Essential Skills & Experience: 

Recent qualification in Data Analytics/Data Science (within last 3 years) – advanced diploma or higher level.  Strong skills in Power BI, including building visualizations from multiple data sources.  1–2 years’ experience in a large company using enterprise systems.  Proficiency in SharePoint design and use. 

Desirable Skills & Experience: 

Strong communication and collaboration skills for engaging with managers across departments.  Ability to work to strict deadlines with attention to detail.

Mobilization Requirement 

This is a PNG National Staff position, a site-based role on a Fly in Fly out arrangement with rotation of 21 days on and 14 days off. Must successfully pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening. (This will be arranged only for successful candidates who progress after the interview stage) and have an up-to-date Police Clearance Certificate (acquired within the last 6 months).
