Job Title: Business Analyst
Job Description
As a Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in analyzing complex business operations, financial data, and market trends to support executive decision-making and organizational planning. You will develop business cases for new programs, process improvements, and investments in sectors such as defense and aerospace. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will assess project profitability and identify efficiencies, while preparing technical reports and presentations to communicate key insights to leadership.
Responsibilities
Analyze complex business operations, financial data, and market trends to support executive decision-making.Develop business cases for new programs, process improvements, and investments in defense, aerospace, and other market sectors.Support activities with cross-functional teams, collaborating with engineering, operations, supply chain, and leadership.Prepare technical reports, executive dashboards, and presentations for staff and leadership.Support organizational development initiatives, including partnerships and government contract strategies.Conduct assessments to compare internal processes with industry standards to identify opportunities for improvement and risk mitigation.Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting systems for accurate, timely business intelligence.Essential Skills
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, data analytics, or a related field.5+ years of experience in business analysis, preferably within aerospace, defense, or highly regulated environments.Expertise in financial modeling, operational analysis, process improvement, and data analytics using tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau.Experience collaborating with executive leadership and cross-functional teams on strategic initiatives.Strong communication and presentation skills to convey complex data to various stakeholders.Understanding of industry-specific regulatory, operational, and supply chain considerations in aerospace and defense.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Professional certifications such as CBAP, Six Sigma.Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Microsoft Project.Work Environment
The role is within a rapidly growing company specializing in shock attenuation and vibration isolation solutions, primarily for the aerospace and defense industries. The position offers high exposure, reporting to the Business Development Vice President and working closely with the General Manager. The company provides advanced engineering and R&D services.
