What is the opportunity?

The Personal Banking industry is rapidly changing with digitization of products, services, and channels, emerging non-traditional competitors, changing client demographics, preferences, and choices, and heightened regulatory attention. This role will play a critical role extracting, producing and consolidating data with the aim of developing metrics, analytics and reporting that will support the on going monitoring of programs within RSD. The role will collaborate with a diverse set of colleagues from across the enterprise (within Personal Banking and Commercial Banking, Operations, T&O, Compliance, Group Risk, etc.) in the attempt to increase transparency on programs and support improving risk management on identified issues.

What will you do?

Report & Insight Package Preparation

Develop and maintain reporting packages that will be used to update key stakeholders on risk related issues

Provide insights through historical and current data by spotting trends, identifying linkages and finding / explaining anomalies

Consolidate multiple sources of data that are provided by different functions across the organization and structure into consumable data insights

Identify, track and resolve any reporting issues.

Participate in the testing of analytical tools developed for monitoring of programs.

Ensure the successful completion of reports by identifying risks and developing/ recommending mitigation strategies.

Documentation and Data Mining

Create documentation for the creation of reports, metric and analysis

Manage detailed business and reporting requirements.

Mine data across data sets to develop reporting and analysis to support decision making or managing risk

Ensure adequate end user documentation and training.

Contribute to successful project completion by identifying risks and developing/recommending mitigation strategies.

Relationships & Communication

Build strong partnerships with key partners from Regional Banking, LOBs, Compliance, HR, GRM, technology and data partners, etc.

Prepare and deliver presentations to partners selecting the appropriate approach based on the audience.

Collaborate with key stakeholders (listed above) to identify and develop metrics, analytics, and insights that inform the Retail Distribution Model.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

3 - 5 years' relevant experience

Strong data analysis skills and some knowledge of the DWE.

Expert data extract, transform, and load processes with variety of data types

Experience with Hadoop, noSQL/SQL databases, Python and SAS

Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal); ability to communicate with people in a wide variety of areas and at various levels

Strong problem solving and analytical ability

Ability to quickly and efficiently adapt to new concepts

Ability to work collaborative with cross-function teams and business units
