**The Opportunity:**
CACI is seeking a Data Analyst to support a high-visibility transformation initiative with our Department of Energy (DOE) client. In this role, you’ll contribute directly to reimagining how a major federal agency manages procurement — enhancing operational efficiency, reducing lead times, and equipping field teams with the tools they need to succeed.
You won’t just analyze numbers — you’ll help shape smarter decisions that drive real-world outcomes.
As part of this long-term modernization effort, you'll be instrumental in helping the agency adopt standardized processes, deploy cost-effective analytics solutions, and increase overall program effectiveness. This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of government innovation and bring data-driven insights to life.
**Responsibilities:**
Your daily work will focus on turning complex procurement and inventory data into actionable intelligence for key stakeholders. You'll collaborate with a team of mission-driven professionals to:
+ Extract, transform, and cleanse procurement and retail inventory data to prepare it for deep analysis.
+ Apply statistical techniques and forecasting models to uncover trends and patterns in historical data.
+ Build user-friendly dashboards, databases, and reports that guide data-driven decisions across programs.
+ Support the development of scalable data models that enhance reporting and analytical performance.
+ Help bring clarity to complexity — translating data into stories that inform action
**Qualifications:**
_Required:_
+ One (1+) years of experience in data analytics.
+ Active security clearance: DoD Top Secret/Secret or DOE Q or L.
+ Strong Excel skills, including use of pivot tables, data extraction, and the Data Analysis Toolpak.
+ Experience building dashboards that manage large datasets and multiple parameters.
+ Experience developing data-driven performance reporting tools by integrating multiple sources into a comprehensive output.
+ Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in working with data
_Desired:_
+ Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field such as Business Analytics, Statistics, Operations Research, or Mathematics.
+ Familiarity with federal procurement, acquisition, or inventory management.
+ Ability to communicate complex data concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
+ Experience with SQL, Python, R, JSON, DAX, or other data programming tools.
+ Proficiency with data visualization platforms such as Tableau or Power BI
