Within ASML, the Customer Support (CS) group is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and continuous improvement of ASML systems at customer locations. One of the segments within CS is Upgrades, Installs & Relocations (UIR), which prepares and executes complex upgrades, relocations, and installations of ASML systems. The Capability team within CS UIR ensures the right skilled resources are available at the right time and place to execute these activities worldwide. This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to workforce planning and capability analytics in a dynamic and global environment.
Create unified reporting across EUV and DUV capability team. (using e.g. MS PowerBI, TIBCO Spotfire by translating big sets of data into useful views).
Create method/ analysis to incorporate cost optimization into workforce planning. For example sending people from one location to another vs hiring people at other locations, cost of visas, loss of utilization.
Create data-driven approach to determine how much flexibility is required (and where) in workforce planning to successfully run the operation.
Your profileTo be a perfect fit for this assignment, you:
Are a Bachelor’s or Master’s student in Data Science, Industrial Engineering, Econometrics, or a related field.
Have experience or interest in data analysis and visualization (e.g. Power BI, Spotfire, Python).
Are curious, proactive, and eager to learn.
Have strong analytical skills and a structured way of working.
Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
This (thesis) internship requires a minimum commitment of 32-40 hours per week. Out of which you are expected at least 3 days per week on-site in Veldhoven. The internship is set to start in February 2026. Thesis assignments are welcomed and supported.
Other requirements you need to meet
You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;
You need to be located in the Netherlands to be able to perform your internship. In case you ‘re currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter includes the willingness to relocate.
If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
