The position supports operational excellence and compliance with corporate and regional standards. **You will be responsible for:** + Perform and review general accounting tasks including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial validations. + Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate execution. + Approve accounting entries and reconciliations prepared by junior staff or peers, ensuring compliance with internal controls. + Analyze account balances and transactions to detect inconsistencies and propose corrective actions. + Support the preparation of financial statements and internal reports. + Collaborate with internal and external teams to resolve accounting discrepancies and support audits. + Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives and standardization of accounting processes. + Ensure proper documentation and compliance with corporate accounting policies. **Leadership & Communication Responsibilities** + Coordinate daily accounting operations and provide guidance to junior team members, focusing on technical support and review of deliverables, rather than formal supervision. + Approve tasks and deliverables within the scope of general accounting. + Act as a point of contact for cross-functional teams and regional stakeholders. + Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance team environment. + Communicate effectively across regions and cultures, adapting to diverse business contexts. + Demonstrate ownership and accountability for assigned processes and approvals. **Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. + Minimum of 5 years of experience in general accounting or finance roles. + Experience in coordinating accounting processes and reviewing deliverables. + Solid understanding of accounting principles and regional compliance requirements. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). + Intermediate to advanced English and Spanish. + Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. + Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred). + Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
