Daily Nanny job
Lovely young family with two school-aged boys looking for a nanny with an educational focus to start ASAP.  Very competitive salary on offer with shorter hours during the school year ! Job Summary    This is a lovely family to work for.  Both parents work full time, their dad in an office and mum a mix of home and office.  The boys attend school in St John’s Wood so a driver would be great but not essential as they have an account with a taxi firm for pick up.  The boys are at the age now where the parents would like the focus to be on manners, reading, writing, creating independence, and games and activities that are educationally appropriate for the age.  Both boys are friendly, happy and healthy children who are active and enjoy being busy.  The ideal nanny will have a background in education or a strong interest in education, speaks fluent English and has experience working with similar ages.  Some travel is an option and the family are open to discussion at the interview stage.

 

Job specification:

 Care of two boys (ages 4 and 6)  School pick-up  Managing the pick-up/ home time / dinner / bedtime routing  Managing the boys’ school and social calendars  Arranging play dates, activities, camps and other fun things to do in the holidays  Helping with homework, including school projects, reading, writing and spelling  Cooking and menu planning for the children, dinner, snacks and lunches in the holidays  Keeping the boys’ rooms and wardrobes tide and organised, encouraging the children to help and pick up after themselves  Assist with the boys’ laundry (the family also employs a full-time housekeeper)

 

Candidate specification:

Native English or native-level English skills are a must to help with homework, etc.  It is vital you have experience working with this age group Strong preference for an educational background or experience where the focus has been on education, someone who is enthusiastic about this age group and is a natural leader without being overbearing A flexible can-do attitude, happy to work collaboratively with parents and muck in when needed Energy to manage and keep up with two young boys Experience working with other staff in the home Someone who is fun but firm, believes in good manners and encourages the children to be independent Flexible around travel and babysitting (on ad hoc basis) No other work commitments

 

Working Days & hours : Monday to Friday- Term time 1.00pm-7.30pm, school holidays 8am-7pm

 

 

Enhanced DBS check required at offer stage & and a current First Aid Certificate
