A warm and welcoming family is looking for a dedicated and long-term Housekeeper / Cook to join their home on a permanent basis. Their previous housekeeper was with them for over 7 years, so they are hoping to find someone who will also become a valued and trusted member of the household for years to come.
The family lives in a spacious 4-bedroom property spread across 5 floors. The role will be varied and hands-on, requiring someone energetic and proactive who enjoys both cooking and housekeeping. For candidates living in, the day would start with helping the children get ready for school and preparing breakfast, while the live-out schedule will begin at lunchtime.
Someone confident in the kitchen, who can prepare healthy meals and follow instructions, will be a great fit. The role also includes caring for the family’s much-loved bunnies, so an animal-friendly candidate is essential.
The family is looking for someone with strong housekeeping experience, who is cheerful, positive, and able to take feedback constructively. Energy and initiative will be important, as the house is set over several floors and requires someone active and organised.
Job specification: Full housekeeping: cleaning, laundry, ironing, and tidying across 5 floors Cooking family meals (following recipes carefully due to allergies) Organising household routines and keeping everything running smoothly Caring for the family’s pet bunnies Preparing breakfast and helping children get ready for school (if live-in) Proactive management of daily tasks, ensuring the home is well-presented Candidate requirements: Strong housekeeping background with proven experience Confident cook, able to follow recipes carefully Energetic and fit – comfortable managing a multi-level home Cheerful, positive, and proactive attitude Takes feedback well and can follow direction Animal-friendly (comfortable with small pets) Accommodation (for Live-in) Lower ground floor with private entrance Bedroom with en-suite bathroom Kitchenette for own use Enhanced DBS check required at offer stage & and a current First Aid Certificate
