A warm and welcoming professional family are looking for a Child Friendly Housekeeper to oversee the daily running of their home. The position will focus on carrying out all daily housekeeping duties to ensure the home runs smoothly, while also being a responsible adult presence for the 11-year-old daughter when the parents are not at home.
The candidate will work directly with the family to help them accomplish daily activities, so they can focus on their busy careers and lives. This is a varied role where additional ad hoc duties may be required.
Job specification:
Daily housekeeping to ensure that the property is always well-kept Overseeing the part time cleaner (three days a week) Undertaking laundry and ironing duties Packing of luggage and wardrobe management Organisation of family’s personal items and effects Occasional cooking for the little girl Running errands Managing household supplies and grocery shopping Organising and liaising with outside contractors / tradesmen / receiving deliveries Ensuring the property is always secure Being a responsible adult presence for the 11 year old and occasional school drop off and pick up Pet Care of family dog including feeding and walking (medium sized friendly dog) Flexible to travel within the UK to additional properties owned / rented by the family – bonus not required
Candidate specification:
Experienced undertaking a similar position is required Happy to work in a home with dogs Strong communicator, time management skills and attention to detail Responsible, efficient, discreet, and organised A full driving licences would be preferred but not essential
Enhanced DBS check required at offer stage & and a current First Aid Certificate
