Daily Child Friendly Housekeeper Job

Job Summary:  

We are seeking a capable and experienced full time Daily Housekeeper to join our warm and welcoming private household in Warsash, a beautiful village near Southampton.

 

This is a varied and rewarding role for someone who enjoys working in a busy family environment and taking pride in maintaining high housekeeping standards. You will become a valued part of our small domestic team (including a PA, gardener, and handyman) and work closely with the homeowners and their teenage children. You will be working in a beautiful and modern 7 bedroom home.

 

Job specification:

Full housekeeping duties: daily cleaning, deep cleans, and household organisation Periodic deep cleaning Laundry and linen care, wardrobe and cupboard management Running errands, receiving deliveries, managing household supplies Occasional food prep and kitchen support (especially during events) – basic cooking when needed – capable of preparing simple snacks for entertaining and helping keep the kitchen clean and orderly Assisting with care of cats, alpacas (training provided) Light childcare duties (e.g., school runs, sports drop-offs) House sitting and overseeing the property when the family is away Occasional support with cleaning/stocking the family’s local yacht Working in coordination with the PA, gardener, and handyman

 

Candidate specification:

At least 2–3 years’ experience in a similar private household or estate role Excellent housekeeping and organisational skills with strong attention to detail A full, clean UK driving licence (essential) – a car is provided for work use A positive, discreet, and proactive attitude Confidence working around animals and a willingness to learn basic livestock care (alpacas) Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team Flexibility – occasional work on Saturdays (paid overtime or day off during the week in lieu)

 

 

Enhanced DBS check required at offer stage & and a current First Aid Certificate
