ASML is famous for holistic lithography systems that are used by our customers in the semiconductor industry to create Integrated Circuits (IC). Within ASML, the Business Line “Applications” creates a new type of products (called Yieldstar), a metrology machine, that helps our customers to improve the quality of their designs and their manufacturing process. Taking advantage of customer and manufacturing proximity, the D&E Applications Software of the ASML Center of Excellence (ACE) is located in Linkou, Taiwan

Position in the Organization

The holder of the position reports to the ACE D&E YieldStar Manager

Job Mission

You are responsible for testing and evaluating the quality of ASML’s YieldStar products at the system level. Additionally, you take the lead in initiating and driving continuous improvements in YieldStar quality from a testing perspective

Geographical

Workplace: ACE (ASML Taiwan, Linkou). Travel to the customer sites or the development headquarters (HQ) in the Netherlands for on-the-job training may be needed as part of the assignment

Job Description

As a Senior Lead Test Engineer, you are a member of the System Test & Integration (STI) team. You define, automate, execute and report on system level test. You drive structural improvement for testing efficiency and effectiveness to prevent issues from reaching the customer

You drive cross-team test automation solution improvement, including test automation infrastructure, test case and test ware adaption.

You define and perform the tests that need to be executed to verify the functionality and performance of our products. You report and work with development teams in diagnosing the issues and re-testing solutions

You lead several of the following tasks, depending on the distribution of tasks within the team:

Validation of software baseline

Execute the basic regression test on the software baseline on a weekly basisCoach junior testers in developing testing craftmanship and competency

Execution in alpha test of YS software packages

Write (part of) the alpha test planExecute alpha test planReport issues to integration PLWrite test reports, submit issue tickets

Enhancements in test methodologies, processes, and frameworks. E.g.,

Drive Test Automation Solution improvements to improve test efficiency and effectivenessDrive testing strategy and test case improvement in terms of stability, coverage and efficiency

Educational Level

Bachelor degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related subject with emphasis on software engineering

Experience

- 5 years of experience in software development, covering the full software development lifecycle

- 5 years of experience in testing and test automation, preferably in a hardware/software environment

- 5 years of experience leading testing efforts in collaboration with cross-functional teams across multiple sites

- Complete software engineering knowledge, software lifecycle knowledge and Scrum agile way of working

- Highly proficient in test automation frameworks and well-versed in a variety of testing techniques.

- Proficient in object-oriented language such as C# , Java or C++

- Proficient in scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell

- Proficient in project management and planning, with a strong focus on driving results

- ISTQB certified or a similar certification will be a plus
