Labcorp is seeking a Cytology Team Leader to join our team in Raritan, NJ.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (8:00am - 4:30p)

Job Responsibilities

Assist in the supervision of the Cytology lab providing coverage in the absence of the supervisorMaintain the qualifications required for quality control for all CytotechnologistsReview the daily workload of ‘negative’ cases for a minimum of 10% quality control reviewGenerate a final report regarding the unsatisfactory cases on a daily basisProvide a render of final diagnosis for cases designated for triageReview follow-up clinical information and biopsy correlation when availableScreen and evaluate any gynecologic and non-gynecologic specimens sent to the laboratory for the determination of possible malignant or related abnormal conditionsScreening of all liquid based cytology, both manual and imaged, as well as conventional slidesPerform microscopic evaluation of cytological specimens following laboratory procedures and policiesEnsure proper documentation of workload recording, including screening and non-screening activities as required by CLIA and laboratory guidelinesMaintain absolute integrity in the accurate performance and reporting of resultsMeet slide screening requirements as per standard operating procedureFinalize testing results into the computer in an accurate and timely mannerProvide backup for cytology processing and other tasks as neededComply with all safety, infection control and HIPAA policies

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college/universitySuccessful completion of an accredited Cytology programASCP Cytotechnologist (CT) Certification1 year of experience as a Cytotechnologist

Preferred Qualifications

ThinPrep and SurePath certifications6 months or more of supervisory or leadership experience

Must pass slide screening requirements and annual CAP proficiency testDemonstrated understanding of Cyto preparation techniquesAutomated and non-automated testing experience is preferredFamiliarity with laboratory information systems (LIS)Ability to work independently or within a teamHighly organized and strong attention to detailStrong communication skills; both written and verbalMust be able to pass a standardized color vision screen

**Pay Range: $50.00 - $60.00

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
