Job Overview:

Cytologist will be present in the operating room to provide onsite adequacy of FNAs, EBUS, and EUS procedures when needed. Cytologist will complete cytological screening of Non-GYN and GYN cases.

Qualifications:

Required:

Bachelor's Degree in Cytotechnology or equivalentGraduate from an approved School of Medical Technology

Preferred:

Six years' working experience

Certifications and Licenses Required:

CT certification from ASCP

Scheduling Requirements:

Day shiftPer Diem

Essential Functions:

Assists in the training of new employees and studentsWorks on special projects as requested by the DirectorSegregates laboratory wastes according to established policiesVerifies orders from scripts and orders procedures in HIS and LISMaintains, troubleshoots and repairs instruments and lab equipment, if possibleAssists in clerical duties as needed
