Job Overview: Cytologist will be present in the operating room to provide onsite adequacy of FNAs, EBUS, and EUS procedures when needed. Cytologist will complete cytological screening of Non-GYN and GYN cases. Qualifications: Required: + Bachelor's Degree in Cytotechnology or equivalent + Graduate from an approved School of Medical Technology Preferred: + Six years' working experience Certifications and Licenses Required: + CT certification from ASCP Scheduling Requirements: + Day shift + Per Diem Essential Functions: + Assists in the training of new employees and students + Works on special projects as requested by the Director + Segregates laboratory wastes according to established policies + Verifies orders from scripts and orders procedures in HIS and LIS + Maintains, troubleshoots and repairs instruments and lab equipment, if possible + Assists in clerical duties as needed Choosing RWJBarnabas Health!
