Labcorp Oncology is seeking a remote Cytogenetics Technologist to join our team that’s based in Phoenix, Arizona!  The position will focus primarily on analysis of routine blood chromosomes utilizing the Applied Spectral Imaging software. 

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Responsibilities:

Perform analysis of chromosomes, which includes imaging and karyotyping of cytogenetic specimensReview test requisitions to gather pertinent details for analysisSummarize test results utilizing ISCN nomenclatureDistinguish between normal and abnormal test resultsPerform and evaluate troubleshooting, document all corrective actions as neededComply with company policies and procedures

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology2 years of experience working in a Cytogenetics clinical laboratory1 year of experience with cytogenetic analysis of metaphase spreads via computerized images 1 year of experience in Oncology cytogeneticsASCP certification in Cytogenetics (ASCP CG)

Salary Range: $25 - $45/hour

Home office space must be a dedicated room that isn’t shared and meets HIPAA compliance.Must agree to have your home address added to reports of cases you analyze or report.  This is a CMS requirement.Wired internet at a minimum speed of 100 mb/secAbility to work remotely effectively as required in a fast-paced, multi-site environment with demonstrated ability to juggle competing priorities and demands
