At Change Grow Live, we’re launching an exciting new service — the Liverpool River Service — and we’re lookingfor passionate people to help shape and deliver it from the ground up.

 

As a Community Outreach & Engagement Worker, you’ll play a vital role in connecting with individuals who are often furthest from support. Whether it’s people affected by substance use, street homelessness, or complex needs, you’ll be a visible, trusted presence — engaging people where they are, building relationships, and supporting them to access the help they need.

What you’ll be doing:

Proactively engaging with people in the community who may not yet be accessing services

Building trust and supportive relationships with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences

Providing information, advice and guidance on harm reduction, treatment options, and wider support pathways

Working flexibly across community settings, including outreach and street-based work, to meet people where they are

Collaborating with partners and agencies to ensure seamless referrals and wraparound support

Promoting our service through events, drop-ins, and local networks to increase awareness and reach

 

Location: Liverpool
Hours: Full-time (37.5* hours per week)
Salary: £27,861.26 - £32,002.35* (depending on experience)

 

*Please note: Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours

 

 

Responsibilities What you’ll bring:

A genuine passion for working with people who may feel excluded, misunderstood or unheard

Experience of community outreach, engagement or support work

A flexible and adaptable approach to working in a fast-paced, people-centred environment

Great communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly and respectfully

Confidence in working independently, while contributing to a supportive and collaborative team

An understanding of safeguarding and the importance of trauma-informed approaches
