We are looking for a Cybersecurity Software Engineer to join our Spectrum Power 7 product development team. The team is responsible for the development and maintenance of Spectrum Power 7 which is a comprehensive Energy Management System (EMS) used by power utility grid operators.
Position responsibilities include the complete life cycle of software development including the design, development and validation of software. This position will focus on improving the security posture of our software solution focusing on topics such as secure programming, Identity and Access Management (IAM), encryption, digital certificate management, and additional related topics.
This hybrid position is based in the Minneapolis-St. Paul Twin Cities area working out of our Minnetonka, MN office.
What you will be working on:
Improving our Spectrum Power 7 Software Solution working within a team of 5-10 developers Requirement analysis and technical design of software solutions Implementing software in C/C++, Java and Python code base Developing test automation Reviewing designs of other teams and providing cybersecurity guidance Validation of softwareYou’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required—with a focus in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Cybersecurity preferred. 3+ years of relevant work experience in Software Engineering, Project Deployment, and R&D solutions 2+ years of work experience focused on cybersecurity; cybersecurity work experience could be substituted with cybersecurity certifications. Programming Languages: Python required, with proficiency in C/C++ and java preferred. Platforms: Windows and Linux A history of collaboration in completing projects as a team while showing Initiative, creativity, analytical skills, and strategic thinking, Proficient in written and spoken English (including security terminology) combined with good interpersonal skills and attention to detail. Ability to travel 5% domestically and internationally. Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorshipPreferred Qualifications/Knowledge areas:

The pay range for this position is $90,510 - $155,160 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
