HOW A CYBERSECURITY ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Working with the contract team and customer to resolve challenges and maintain system and tool availabilityHigh-paced and dynamic customer environment with multiple stakeholdersWork supports a critical federal agency with an important mission, this role is part of a team that maintains cybersecurity tools and systems.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education: BA or BS preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or related scientific or technical discipline.Required Experience: 5+ years of related experienceRequired Technical Skills:  CompTIA Security+Security Clearance Level:  Interim Secret or Top Secret or SCIRequired Skills and Abilities:Flexible, team-oriented, problem-solving skillsAbility to assess complex cyber threats and develop effective mitigation strategies.Capable of conveying technical information clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.Work effectively across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.Thorough in reviewing configurations, logs, and security events.Ability to respond quickly to evolving cyber threats and shifting priorities.Familiarity with cybersecurity tools, threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and secure system design.Evaluates risk and makes informed decisions in high-pressure situations.Preferred Skills: CISSPLocation: DC Metro areaUS Citizenship required to qualify for security clearance
