This role focuses on applying hardening standards, performing vulnerability management, and ensuring tool readiness to maintain security compliance during and after migration. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of security tools and processes, with less emphasis on compliance administration compared to the lead role. **Core Role Responsibilities:** + Deploy and maintain cybersecurity toolsets in the new data center environment. + Perform system hardening according to DISA STIGs and DoD guidance. + Conduct vulnerability scans, analyze findings, and prepare POA&Ms. + Support configuration and monitoring of IDS/IPS, SIEM, firewalls, and related tools. + Assist in incident detection and response processes. + Work with the lead cybersecurity engineer to ensure tool readiness for cutovers. **Technical Knowledge & Responsibilities:** + Familiarity with intrusion detection, SIEM/SOAR, firewall, and boundary devices. + Skilled in vulnerability scanning, remediation, and tracking. + Understanding of secure configurations in enterprise-class environments. + Ability to implement security tool integrations across systems and networks. + Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity standards and tool compliance requirements. + Experience using automation and scripting languages relevant to cybersecurity related functions (e.g., Powershell or Bash/Python for security tools). + Experience developing scripts or using automation frameworks to streamline configuration management, system provisioning, monitoring, and reporting in enterprise data center environments. + Skilled in leveraging vendor-specific automation platforms and to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention. **Minimum Education:** Bachelor Degree in Information Technology or related field **Minimum Experience:** Minimum 8+ years experience with Cybersecurity Engineering, Cybersecurity Tools Implementation, Security Configurations **Certifications:** + CompTIA Security+ (required) + CompTIA CySA+ or CASP+ (preferred) + Cisco CyberOps Associate (preferred) + DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification (as applicable) TESA Accreditation Requirements A bachelor's degree plus 3 years of recent specialized experience, OR; An associate's degree plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR; A major certification (as defined and accepted by DOCPER) plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR; 11 years of recent specialized experience Location: On Customer Site US Citizenship Required Clearance: Secret \#DefenseOCONUS GDIT IS YOUR PLACE: ● 401K with company match ● Comprehensive health and wellness packages ● Internal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your career ● Professional growth opportunities including paid education and certifications ● Cutting-edge technology you can learn from ● Rest and recharge with paid vacation and holidays The likely salary range for this position is $135,150 - $182,850. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
