The Work

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cyber Software Senior Engineer with a strong background in Software Assurance. In this role, you will support multiple programs within the IWSS organization, ensuring the security, reliability, and integrity of software systems.

Your responsibilities will include:

Developing and implementing software assurance/secure coding processes.

Technical writing of contract deliverables that include Cyber Analysis and Code Review.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to build secure, mission-critical software.

This position is full time on site and is located in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey a campus connected to Lockheed Martin, Moorestown, NJ which is a major engineering and technology hub for Lockheed Martin.

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD government clearance at the Secret level.

This position requires a Sec+ or similar certification.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field with 5+ years relevant experience or Master's and 3+ year of relevant experience.

• Strong knowledge of software development lifecycles, secure coding practices, and software security testing.

• Experience with software assurance tools and technologies, such as static code analysis, dynamic code analysis

• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, including threat modeling, risk assessment, and vulnerability management.

• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD government security clearance at the Secret level(US citizenship is required).

• This position requires a Sec+ or similar certification.
Desired Skills:
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.

• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or similar certification such as CSSLP.

• 5+ years of experience in software or cyber engineering, with a focus on software assurance/secure coding practices.

• Experience with penetration and fuzz testing.

• Experience with agile development methodologies and DevSecOps practices.

• Experience with software assurance frameworks and standards, such as NIST SP 800-53 and ISO 27001.

• Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, C++, or Python.

• Experience with automation tools and scripting languages, such as Ansible, Python, or PowerShell.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex software systems and identify potential security vulnerabilities.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $90,200 - $159,045. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
