Position Summary
We’re looking for an accomplished and well-rounded Cyber Security Architect with an extensive security background. As a Cyber Security Architect at Life Time, you will help us achieve a world-class security posture to protect critical assets and applications for the company and its customers.
You are relied on by your teammates and coworkers as a technical contributor with a focus on achieving security by design throughout all stages of product development. Your primary goal is to protect Life Time’s applications, systems, and data from internal and external threats. You work collaboratively with other teams to identify and address security issues throughout our application delivery infrastructure and cloud services. You help plan, research, design and implement security architectures. You work to prevent potential security incidents and respond quickly and thoroughly in the event an incident occurs. You act as an advocate for the Cyber Security team, evangelizing best practices for the company.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
Partners with technology teams to help them incorporate security by designPerforms DevSecOps functions including security code reviews, CI/CD pipeline security, penetration testing, and assist with incorporating security features into products and platformsDesigns, builds, implements, and supports enterprise-class information security systemsRecommends modifications to application development, networking, or cloud infrastructureMonitors emerging products, technologies or best practices that will improve security for the organizationResponds quickly and effectively to security incidents and provide post-event analysisMinimum Required Qualifications
Knowledge of standard office procedures and computer softwareExtensive understanding of modern security architecture concepts and security-by-design principlesDeep understanding of one or more security frameworks (NIST, MITRE, etc) and how to incorporate themExperience deploying and managing web application firewall (WAF) technologyAble to produce high-quality documentation (system design, wiki pages, etc)In-depth experience with SIEM and logging platformsExperience with vulnerability management processes & toolsExcellent teaching, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skillsEducation:
BA or BSs Degree in a technical field or related fieldYears of Experience:
5+ years of experience as a security engineer or similar roleLicenses / Certifications / Registrations:
SANS GIAC Certifications (GCIA, GWAPT, or similar)CompTIA Security+CISSPPreferred Qualifications
Managing projects / processes, working independently with limited supervision.
