Dow Thailand has an exciting and challenging opportunity available for anCyber IT Security Specialists. This position is in support of our Thailand area, location based in Map Ta Phut, Rayong. This role is part of the Operations IT/OT Run and Maintain Support Organization. Applies expanded conceptual and practical knowledge of Information Technology and cybersecurity towards developing a world-class cyber program. Focuses on information security innovation and threat monitoring within the Information Technology environment at Dow. Uses prescribed guidelines or policies in analyzing situations and receives a moderate level of guidance and direction. Provides informal guidance to new team members. Analyzes possible solutions using technical experience, judgment and precedents to solve problems. It is your responsibility to use technical experience, established practices, and personal judgement to analyze and resolve straightforward problems. Your performance impacts the quality of your own work and your team’s work and requires that you work within established guidelines and policies. Responsibilities + Leverages technology and learns how Information Technology integrates with other disciplines across Dow in order to mitigate risk (e.g. web content filters, proxies, email security capabilities, security practices, advanced log analysis, network monitoring, network flow analysis, packet capture analysis, network proxies, firewalls, and anti-virus) + Research new and emerging technologies around security (e.g. Cloud, Mobile, and threats) with moderate level of guidance + Ensures complex cyber threat gaps are identified and appropriately mitigated. + May lead small project steps with guidance + Demonstrates computer incident forensics (system, network, and/or malware capabilities) in order to build context + Responsible for the implementation and support of the manufacturing cyber security management systems within their assigned facilities (plants, labs, administrative facilities, etc.) in order that the businesses, sites, and plants are protected against a cyber-security events and can appropriately respond if one would occur + Ensures Cybersecurity work processes, tools, standards and procedures are effectively applied within assigned plants. + Tracks and communicates Cybersecurity performance + Participates in cybersecurity audits and cyber event investigations. + Identifies, escalates and resolves potential cyber risks at the site level Qualifications: + A minimum of Bachelor Degree Information Security Management or relevant is required. + A least 5 years’ experience is preferred in one of the following areas: + Process Automation in Manufacturing + IT with a cyber-emphasis. + Fluent in English communication as required working with global team Preferred skills: + Industrial Control Systems (ICS) & SCADA Security + An understanding of securing OT environments. + Familiarity with protocols like Modbus, DNP3, and tools for monitoring ICS/SCADA systems. + Cyber Risk Management in Operational Technology (OT) + Experience with frameworks like NIST CSF and ISA/IEC 62443. + Incident Response & Threat Intelligence + Handling cyber incidents in both IT and OT environments. + Network Segmentation & Perimeter Defense + Familiar with network architectures to isolate OT from IT systems. + Implementing firewalls, DMZs, and secure remote access for plant systems. + Compliance & Regulatory Knowledge + Understanding of industry-specific regulations in country + Ensuring cybersecurity practices align with safety and environmental standards. + Security Awareness & Training for Plant Personnel + Delivering training tailored to non-technical staff. + Communication and promoting a culture of cybersecurity across plant operations. + Problem Solving + Ability to analyze complex security issues, make decisions under pressure, and implement effective solutions—especially in OT/ICS environments. + Accountable: + Demonstrates ownership and follow-through in securing operational systems by proactively identifying risks, resolving incidents end-to-end, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal controls.
