KDS is seeking an experienced Senior SOC/Incident Response Analyst to lead security monitoring, detection, and response activities for our federal government clients. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in security operations and incident handling, with strong leadership abilities and technical expertise. Key responsibilities include: + Coordinate with other teams and stakeholders + Meeting or exceeding SLAs + Conduct post-incident reviews + Lead security incident investigations and response efforts + Supervise real-time security monitoring and analysis + Direct threat hunting and detection activities + Coordinate incident response team activities + Perform advanced security event analysis + Lead forensic investigations of security incidents + Develop and maintain incident response procedures + Provide guidance to junior analysts + Create and maintain security dashboards and reports + Lead security tool tuning and optimization + Conduct root cause analysis of security incidents + Develop incident response playbooks + Coordinate with external security teams + Provide on-call support for major incidents + Lead after-action reviews and lesson-learned sessions **Education and Experience:** **Required:** + Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field + 8+ years of experience in security operations + 5+ years of incident response experience + Current security certifications (GCIH, GCIA, or equivalent) + Experience leading SOC operations **Required Skills and Competencies:** + Strong communication skills + Understanding of incident response methodologies + Ability to make quick decisions under pressure + Expert knowledge of security operations + Advanced knowledge of SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk) + Expertise in security tool administration + Strong forensic analysis skills + Experience with threat hunting + Knowledge of malware analysis + Advanced log analysis capabilities + Experience with security frameworks + Strong leadership abilities + Excellence in crisis management + Strong written and verbal communication + Experience with security automation + Knowledge of compliance requirements **Desired Skills and Competencies:** + Master's degree in relevant field + Additional advanced certifications (CISSP, GCFA) + Experience with classified systems + Knowledge of threat intelligence platforms + Experience with cloud security + Expertise in digital forensics + Knowledge of reverse engineering + Experience with deception technologies + Familiarity with AI/ML in security + Red team/Blue team experience + Published security research + Experience with federal systems + Knowledge of zero trust architecture + Public speaking experience + Training/mentoring experience **Our Equal Employment Opportunity Policy** The company is an equal opportunity employer.
