**Description**
Leidos currently has an exciting opportunity for a Cyber Data Scientist to contribute to the development of Data Science solutions for the Information and Data Sciences Division of the Leidos Innovations Center.
This position will support multiple programs and projects.Our projects focus on AI/ML, Resilient Systems, Quantum communications, and Cybersecurity solutions.
**Primary Responsibilities.**
+ _Develop innovative solutions to challenging problems of interest to the Defense Applied Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and U.S. Department of Defense (DoD). _
+ _Implement sophisticated feature extraction techniques from complex, high-dimensional, datasets._
+ _Perform data curation; understand and prepare data for necessary research efforts._
+ _Contribute to the generation of competitively sourced proposals for contract R&D projects_
+ _Produce and communicate reports and presentations that summarize technical results to technical and non-technical audiences_
+ _Stay up to date with current state-of-the-art data science methods and work with team to employ these methods within current and future R&D projects._
**Basic Qualifications.**
+ _BS degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience._
+ _Experience with research and hands-on development of data science solutions for cyber and other domains._
+ _Proficient in MySQL, Python. GitLab, Pandas_
+ _Strong technical writing and communication skills_
+ _Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills and ability to work independently on complex tasks and lead technical efforts._
+ _Stay ahead of emerging cyber threats, adversarial tactics, and offensive and defensive cyber advancements._
+ _Ability to effectively communicate technical solutions to coworkers, teammates, and customers._
+ _Basic knowledge and experience with AI/ML engineering including code implementation, optimization, and AI/ML tooling_
+ _Ability to work in a collaborative team environment utilizing agile methodologies_
+ _Must be U.S. Citizen and willing and able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance._
**Preferred Qualifications.**
+ _Proficient in Kali, Nmap, Wireshark, Metasploit_
+ _Experience performing research for the DoD or IC_
+ _Experience with one or more of the following source code analysis, red teaming, blue teaming, reverse engineering, advanced networking, cyber deception_
+ _Experience with Machine Learning and/or Artificial Intelligence algorithms and libraries applied to Cyber problems_
+ _Proven track record of conference and journal publications_
+ _Active Secret Clearance_

**Pay Range:**
Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00
