Compensation varies based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, performance and salary range at the time of the offer._ **Responsibilities** Assists with procedures to analyze, diagnose and treat the cardiovascular system. + Performs active physiological monitoring of heart rate, rhythm, pressures, and saturations. Anticipates changes during cases that indicate necessary information, such as catheter position. Accuratelyidentifies and communicates patient condition changes to the physician and team. + Routinely performs patient testing and/or monitoring to include oxygen saturation, cardiac output,shunting, hemodynamic calculations and other intra-procedure testing and resulting as applicable. + Demonstrates knowledge and variation of procedures, including the equipment/supplies used for performance. Demonstrates proper handling, preparation, and maintains asepsis. + Anticipates and adapts to physician and case needs. + Assists with room setup, patient transport and post-procedure clean-up. Ensures infection control and sharp safety procedures are followed regarding waste and reusable products. + Performs patient education regarding post-procedure monitoring and care of catheter insertion site. Provides instructions and information regarding activity including normal, variant and issues requiringintervention. **Complexity of Work:** + Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment. **Personal Protective Equipment:** + Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required. **Requirements** **Licensure / Certification / Registration:** + Required Credential(s): + Advanced Life Support obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Associationor American Red Cross accepted. + BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American HeartAssociation or American Red Cross accepted. + One or more of the following: + Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist credentialed from the Cardiovascular CredentialingInternational (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. + Cardiographic Tech specializing in Electrophysiology credentialed from the CardiovascularCredentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. + Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry ofRadiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. + Preferred Credential(s): + Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
