The Opportunity:

The Cutting Assistant is responsible for locking up tooling used in Die Cutting Operation. Will be required to assist on cutter make readies/runs along with relieving cutter operators for breaks and/or vacations. Assist with jogging board, operating baler, working TRA and other duties assigned. Will be required to advance to a cutter operator position when one becomes available that they are qualified for.

Maintain WIP and tolling based on production schedule.Maintain cleanliness of the department.Assist TRA as neededAssist on M/Rs and startups

 

What you need to succeed:

Must have high school diploma or G.E.D.Must be able to read and understand work scheduleWill train on line clearance, scanner set-up, and documentation.Full understanding of Cutting Assistant Grade 1 role.Basic PC skillsBasic mechanical skills.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.Good communication skills.Ability to work with little supervision.Ability to work in a team environment.Good mathematical ability, including good understanding of measurements.Must comply with all plant and corporate policies.This position will keep department in specs within all 5S and SQF guidelines and immediately report any food safety concerns to management.
