**A Snapshot of Your Day** The Siemens Energy (SE) Customs team supports SE businesses in all customs related matters, ensuring full compliance with applicable customs regulations and internal requirements in an optimal and efficient manner. The SE U.S. Customs Operations Manager supports the SE U.S. Customs Operations team with oversite, management and execution of all transactional operational import and export activities. This role reports to Head of Customs North America and will be based at the U.S. HQ location in Orlando, FL or may be considered in Charlotte, NC. **How You’ll Make an Impact** + Customs Operations Management:Oversee day-to-day U.S. import and export activities, including customsdocument reviews, broker instructions, and management of the Customs ValueReconciliation program. + Team Leadership & Development:Supervise, mentor, and develop the SE U.S. Customs Operations team whilesupporting the implementation of SOPs, training, and cross-functional tradeprojects. + Broker Oversight & Compliance:Select, instruct, and monitor customs brokers to ensure compliance andreasonable care in declarations; implement broker compliance monitoring usingmetrics and scorecards. + Issue Resolution & ContinuousImprovement: Analyze root causes of clearance issues and delays, drivingcorrective actions with partners and staff; standardize processes and implementbest practices. + Collaboration & Partnerships:Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, includingU.S. customs brokers, business areas, and customers, to ensure effectivecommunication and operational alignment. + Regulatory & FinancialOptimization: Ensure compliance with U.S. customs regulations while drivingfinancial optimization through compliant use of special programs such as TIBs,Chapter 98, and Carnets. **Export Control Requirement** : Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. **What You Bring** + 10+ years ofextensive experience in customs/international trade compliance and 8+ years of PeopleManagement and leadership experience + · TechnicalExpertise: U.S. Customs Broker license preferred, with in-depth knowledge of 19CFR, Customs Brokerage management experience, and Global Trade Management/ERPsystems (e.g., SAP GTS/GTM). Hands-on experience in streamlining and digitizingmanual processes. + ·Analytical &Project Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities with proven experience inanalytics, implementation strategies, metric measurement, and continuousmonitoring to deliver compliance and process improvements. **Who is Siemens Energy?** At Siemens Energy, we are more than just an energy technology company.
