Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What Is the Opportunity?Provide internal and external support to customers. Provides customer policy/account support by processing a variety of transactions in a high volume service center. Demonstrates an understanding of Travelers products, procedures and processing techniques. As part of the hiring process, this position requires the completion of an online pre-employment assessment. Further information regarding the assessment including an accommodation process, if needed, will be provided at such time as your candidacy is deemed appropriate for further consideration.What Will You Do?Processes incoming requests for variety of policy changes and/or handling routine policy reviews in applicable system(s).Responsible for Policy Quoting and Issuance.May be responsible for handling compliance transactions.Works directly with internal and external customers to gather required information to handle service requests.May require underwriting authority to complete specific transactions.Demonstrates on-going understanding of Travelers products, along with various insurance transaction procedures.Addresses questions regarding aspects of a policy within their authority.Identifies, where applicable, potential underwriting risks and refers to correct department.Ensures effective and appropriate communication with all effected internal/external parties resulting from change in customer account.Assists in special work assignments as identified.Acts as a customer support.Perform other duties as assigned. What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?Prefer one or more years of work experience in a customer service industry, operations, or insurance industry.Associates Degree or higher preferred.Demonstrated resiliency in high-volume environments and stressful situations.Demonstrated ability to communicate both written and verbally clearly in a multitude of channels (phone, emails, etc.).Ability to multitask on various activities.Solid math abilities.Ability to provide problem solving and recommend solutions.Identify customer needs and takes appropriate action.Build productive working relationships and is inclusive to all in the workplace.Drive towards achieving performance and expense management goals set by the department.

What is a Must Have?High School Diploma or equivalent required.
