Customer Service Representative
Job Overview The Administrative Associate plays a vital role in supporting clinical and billing operations within a healthcare environment. This position is responsible for insurance verification, accurate patient record management, and front‑desk and scheduling support. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, customer‑focused, and comfortable serving as a primary point of contact for clients with basic billing and insurance questions. Key Responsibilities + Verify medical insurance eligibility, benefits, and authorization requirements prior to client appointments. + Communicate with insurance carriers to clarify coverage details, referrals, and claim‑related questions. + Collect, verify, and accurately document patient demographic and insurance information in designated systems. + Support scheduling activities, including appointment coordination and intake processes. + Assist with front‑desk operations by greeting clients, answering phones, and directing inquiries professionally. + Serve as a primary contact for clients regarding basic billing and insurance questions, ensuring clear and courteous communication. + Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy. + Collaborate with clinical and billing teams to resolve coverage, documentation, or authorization issues. + Perform general administrative duties including data entry, filing, scanning, and phone support. + Effectively prioritize and manage multiple administrative tasks in a fast‑paced, client‑focused environment. Required Qualifications + Minimum of 1 year of administrative experience in a healthcare or behavioral health setting. + Hands‑on experience with medical insurance verification. + Strong understanding of healthcare terminology and insurance processes. + Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. + Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy. + Demonstrated commitment to customer service in a client‑focused environment. + Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast‑paced setting. Preferred Qualifications + Previous insurance verification experience within a healthcare or behavioral health environment. + Experience supporting both clinical and administrative teams. + Comfort working with confidential and sensitive information in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Minneapolis, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.75 - $26.75/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
