Customer Service Representative – Remote (East Lansing, Michigan) Entry-Level | Full-Time | $15/hour Overview We are seeking detail-oriented and customer-focused individuals for a remote Customer Service Representative role supporting a State of Michigan program. This position provides education, enrollment assistance, and helpline support for residents utilizing the Atypical Provider program, which offers help with Home Health Care service applications. You will assist callers who may have difficulty navigating the online portal or who lack online access. This includes guiding them through the process, answering questions, and delivering excellent service with clear, professional communication Key Dates + Interview Date: March 10, 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM + Equipment Pickup (East Lansing): March 23 + Training Start Date: March 24 Position Details + Work Environment: Fully remote (must reside in Michigan) + Schedule: Monday–Friday, available between 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM + Pay Rate: $15.00/hour + Training Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday–Friday (approximately 13 days, subject to change) + Internet Requirement: + Minimum 25 Mbps download / 10 Mbps upload + 50 Mbps recommended if sharing household internet + At least 30 GB of data Responsibilities + Answer inbound calls and provide assistance regarding education, enrollment, and navigation of service portals + Support individuals applying for Home Health Care services + Use computerized systems for tracking and documenting caller information + Provide clear and accurate communication via phone and email + Refer callers to system resources, published materials, or senior staff when appropriate + Maintain professionalism, accuracy, and attention to detail Required Qualifications + Must reside in the state of Michigan + Ability to work in a quiet, distraction-free environment + Smartphone or tablet required for communication and verification + Ability to type 35 WPM (typing test required) + Comfortable talking and typing simultaneously + Strong verbal and written communication skills + Clear and articulate phone presence + Customer service experience (call center, retail, banking, or similar) + Comfortable working with computers and dual monitors Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of East Lansing, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
