Customer Service Representative
About the Role We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to join a dynamic corporate team supporting customer orders and service requests. This role involves handling inbound calls and emails, coordinating service engineers, processing spare part orders, and ensuring timely resolution of customer inquiries. Key Responsibilities + Answer inbound calls (800-line) and make outbound calls (10–30 calls/day) plus email support. + Create service requests for repairs, preventive maintenance, installations, and non-repair needs. + Dispatch service orders to field staff within designated timeframes. + Coordinate hardware installation and maintain communication with internal teams. + Support hotline operations and assist with roll-over calls. + Perform data entry for spare parts, FOC orders, and delivery complaints. + Manage inventory processes including SAP part movements and trunk stock restocking. + Update equipment master records and preventative maintenance plans. + Complete and maintain SharePoint requests and SAP reporting. + Prepare weekly on-call/vacation schedules. + Collaborate with technical assistance, finance, marketing, IT, and other business units. + Additional administrative duties and projects as assigned. Requirements Must Have: + 2+ years of customer service experience in an office environment. + 1+ year of data entry experience; proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. + 1+ year of phone experience. + Strong computer skills and ability to multitask. Nice to Have: + College degree. + Experience with SAP. + Logistics or Lotus Notes experience. Training & Work Environment + Training: 3+ weeks, starting onsite and transitioning to hybrid. + Work schedule: 3 days onsite (Tue–Thu), remote on Mon & Fri. + Business casual corporate environment. + This is not a call center; it’s a professional office setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Lake Zurich, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
