About the Role:
We are seeking a Customer Service Specialist to join our team and deliver exceptional service to patients. In this role, you will manage inbound and outbound calls, process orders, verify insurance, and ensure accurate documentation. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment, supporting patients and healthcare providers while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Answer inbound calls and make outbound calls to assist patients and providers.
+ Educate patients on financial responsibility when applicable.
+ Process orders, schedule services, and verify documentation accuracy.
+ Complete insurance verification, including eligibility, coverage, co-insurance, and deductibles.
+ Obtain pre-authorizations and submit physician orders to insurance carriers.
+ Navigate multiple EMR systems to enter and review patient information.
+ Communicate with internal teams regarding insurance trends and documentation issues.
+ Maintain compliance with payer guidelines and company policies.
Required Qualifications:
+ 1+ year of call center experience (healthcare or insurance preferred, but not required).
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
+ Experience working in a remote environment
+ Strong communication skills and professional demeanor.
+ Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced setting.
+ Preferred Qualifications:
+ Healthcare experience or medical terminology knowledge.
+ Experience taking inbound calls in a customer service setting.
+ Experience in nursing homes or CNA experience.
+ Skills:
+ Excellent computer skills and ability to learn new systems quickly.
+ Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
+ Customer-focused mindset with attention to detail.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newton, IA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
