Job Title: Customer Service Representative
Location: Lakewood, New Jersey
Type: Contract to Hire
Compensation: $24 - $27 hourly
Contractor Work Model: Onsite
Hours: 9 am to 5 pm, Monday - Friday
Job Duties:
+ Handle high-volume inbound calls from COBRA members and employers, with a strong focus on clear, patient phone support
+ Perform high-volume, accurate data entry for COBRA enrollments, terminations, changes, and payments
+ Carefully review all entries against source documents to avoid errors and rework
+ Support open enrollment by taking increased call volume and walking employees through their COBRA options
+ Conduct simple phone or online demos for HR and employees on how to read COBRA notices, log in to the portal, complete elections, and make payments
+ Document every call and action taken in the system with complete, clear notes
+ Work closely with the COBRA team to resolve issues and keep members informed
Job Qualifications/Requirements:
+ Strong phone skills and a professional, calm manner with callers
+ Very strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
+ Comfortable working in multiple computer systems and screens at the same time
+ Able to manage heavy call volume during open enrollment and other busy periods
+ Comfortable leading short demos or group calls by phone or screen share
+ Prior customer service or call center experience required; benefits, insurance, or medical office experience a plus
+ Reliable, organized, and able to follow detailed procedures consistently
+ Strong attendance and punctuality
