Career Opportunity:
The Customer Service Representative (CSR) represents Smurfit Westrock to the supplier/customer and acts as a critical liaison between the internal buyer and operations teams. The CSR receives and processes routine supplier pick up requests, inquiries, and/or customer issues related to orders. The CSR maintains the ongoing relationship with multiple suppliers, utilizing knowledge of products, logistics, production planning, and inventory management.
Hours:
Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm. Overtime minimal (on site)
Major Job Responsibilities:
Assist operations team by producing a weekly shipment list for all outbound loads.Update suppliers & customers on order statusWork closely with Dispatcher & Drivers to coordinate inbound and outbound material and transportation.Ensure timely and efficient movement of materials.Attend weekly operations meeting to report on inventory movement schedule.Provide pricing, inventory availability and production schedule information to customers.Track internal fleet activity and alert appropriate staff of any potential delivery/pick-up disruptions.Record, organize, and process orders and/or inquiries received by telephone, email.Serve as a connection between customers and sales staff to ensure responsiveness and customer satisfaction.Partner with Transportation Manager and Buyer to resolve routine supplier/customer delivery issues.Serve as back-up to scale operator including data entry of all inbound/outbound loads.
Experience:
Required: 3+ years of customer service-related work experience in a manufacturing environment or other industries Preferred: 3 to 5 years of manufacturing industry experience
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Education:
Required: High School diploma or G.E.D
