Our client, a mission-driven nonprofit organization, is looking for a compassionate and skilled Customer Service Representative to provide exceptional support to their community members, donors, partners, and volunteers. Key Responsibilities
+ Customer Support: Serve as the first point of contact for inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, ensuring all interactions are professional, empathetic, and solutions-oriented.
+ Issue Resolution: Assist community members and donors in resolving concerns or addressing service-related needs promptly and effectively.
+ Donor & Member Engagement: Answer questions related to programs, services, donations, and events, ensuring clear communication and a positive experience.
+ Data Entry & Documentation: Maintain accurate records in CRM tools or databases regarding customer interactions and feedback.
+ Collaboration: Coordinate with various departments, such as fundraising, volunteer management, and program teams, to deliver seamless service.
+ Community Advocacy: Represent the organization’s mission and values in all communications, offering resources and up-to-date information about the nonprofit’s programs and services.
+ Administrative Support: Provide light administrative assistance, including processing membership applications, generating reports, and assisting with outreach campaigns.
Requirements
+ Experience: 1–2 years of customer service experience; nonprofit experience or experience in service-based roles is preferred.
+ Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage positively and professionally with a diverse audience.
+ Tech Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) or customer-facing software is a bonus.
+ Problem-Solving: Strong listening skills and a solutions-focused mindset to handle inquiries effectively.
+ Empathy: A genuine passion for supporting communities and connecting people with resources and services that can make an impact.
+ Organizational Skills: Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
