We have an outstanding Contract position for a Customer Service Representative to join a leading Company located in the Carson, CA surrounding area.
Pay Rate: $23.00
The Customer Service Representative requires a high level of internal customer engagement, plus the capability to coordinate successful integrated product offerings. The Customer Service Representative works in coordinating, supporting and improving the commercial process and positively influences customer happiness. The Customer Service Representative is responsible for coordinating day-to-day activity for customer requests, processing customer orders and quotes, and maintaining front-line communication with the customers. They update changes of order dates and ensure adherence with contractual obligations. The Customer Service Representative is accountable to performance KPIs used to monitor department performance. Additional responsibility includes escalation of customer issues to the Manager as needed.
Job Responsibilities:  Responsible for the sales cycle (quotation, order entry, process shipping docs, invoicing, follow up with the customer, etc.).Answer customer inquiries in a timely manner.Maintain customer relations.Remedy customer issues.Communicate and coordinate with internal departments.Act as backup for the front desk (i.e., covering phones, greeting visitors).Cold call customers.Work with customers to understand and anticipate future needs.Working in a fast-paced environment, this position will be the point of contact for customer interaction and will be required to work with various departments to provide quality service and deliver orders on time.Ensure sales orders are processed accurately and entered within a timely manner using company ERP system.Partner with the Integrated Project Team (IPT) to ensure customer orders are processed correctly.Validate entered order information by checking against customer purchase orders.Maintain a Purchase Order (PO) entry tracker to provide visibility to the Contracts and Accounting teams.Review aging report weekly, and provide updates to the Accounts Receivable department regarding past-due accounts.Fulfill a coordinating role between the customer and all relevant internal stakeholders (sales, engineering/PD, qualification/certification, finance) that potentially have an impact on customer satisfaction.Coordinate order and shipping-related matters with production, planning, shipping, and responsible stakeholders. Coordinate customer complaint handling in cooperation with the department manager.Educate internal customers and departments on customer characteristics in order to improve sales and profitability.Proactively approach customers to improve the relationship.Perform all other duties as assigned.
Basic Hiring CriteriaRequires a high school diploma or equivalent.Entry-level job with little or no prior relevant work experience.Acquires basic skills to perform routine tasks.Work is prescribed and completed with little autonomy.Works with either close supervision or under clearly defined procedures.0-2 years of verifiable experience.Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
