Customer Service Representative

Description
Generate customer quotations based on requested products or services.
Accurately enter sales orders received via email, phone, or fax into the ERP system, ensuring all customer details, billing information, part numbers, and specifications are verified beforehand.
Send order confirmations and maintain clear communication with customers throughout the order lifecycle.
Address and resolve discrepancies or issues related to customer purchase orders.
Monitor and expedite order progress as needed on behalf of customers.
Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., production, scheduling) to respond to customer inquiries regarding technical details or order updates.
Track shipments and provide proof of delivery upon request.
Maintain and update customer data within the management database.
Manage customer complaints and ensure all corresponding documentation is completed.
Support the Regional Sales Manager by handling inquiries while they are remote or traveling.
Handle inbound customer service calls, including call routing, taking orders/messages, providing quotes, and answering technical questions.
Scan and digitally organize job orders and sales documentation daily.
Qualifications
At least 2 years of experience in inside sales or industrial customer service.
Proficient in using computers, including word processing and spreadsheet software.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities with professional correspondence skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with sound judgment to make decisions within established parameters.
Strong critical thinking aptitude.
Ability to thrive in collaborative, team-based environments.
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage tasks efficiently under pressure.
Familiarity with industrial products preferred.
Solid math skills, including unit conversions and price calculations involving imperial and metric systems.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
