Customer Service Representative
Description We are looking for a dedicated Customer Service Representative to join our team in Rockleigh, New Jersey. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment within the electronics industry. The ideal candidate will handle customer inquiries, ensure smooth administrative operations, and maintain excellent service standards. Responsibilities: • Perform accurate data entry to update customer orders and account records. • Provide repair estimates to customers, share status updates, and direct inquiries to the appropriate departments. • Manage office supplies and ensure availability for the Customer Service team. • Monitor incoming faxes and distribute them to the relevant recipients. • Respond to customer concerns with professionalism and escalate issues as needed. • Communicate technical information effectively to both customers and internal teams. • Assist in adapting to new technologies, processes, and priorities to meet business needs. • Operate office equipment such as computers and printers efficiently during daily tasks. • Ensure compliance with customer service principles, including attentiveness, empathy, and responsiveness. • Collaborate with team members to support department schedules and changing company requirements. Requirements • High school diploma required; college degree is preferred. • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer service, administrative, or coordination role. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. • Familiarity with audio/video conferencing systems such as Teams or Zoom is preferred. • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with customers and colleagues. • Ability to resolve conflicts and manage challenging customer situations calmly and professionally. • Flexibility to adapt quickly to evolving schedules, technologies, and priorities. • Capable of remaining in a stationary position for extended periods and operating office equipment regularly.
