Description We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. In this role, you will act as the initial point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service and addressing inquiries related to utility accounts. This is a long-term contract position that requires working on-site and handling a high volume of calls daily.
Responsibilities:
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries by answering inbound calls and addressing concerns regarding utility accounts.
• Provide accurate information about account processes, payment options, and available assistance programs.
• Investigate and resolve account discrepancies, billing issues, and payment-related concerns.
• Process service orders to update account information and resolve customer issues efficiently.
• Enter and maintain detailed records in databases to document interactions and complaints.
• Dispatch calls to appropriate departments and agencies based on customer needs.
• Ensure compliance with departmental policies, customer service standards, and regulatory guidelines.
• Participate in ongoing training sessions, cross-training activities, and quality assurance programs.
• Educate customers about departmental procedures and resources to enhance their experience.
• Schedule appointments and maintain accurate communication records with customers. Requirements • Proven experience in a call center or customer service role, handling inbound and outbound calls.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for data management and documentation.
• Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage a high volume of calls while maintaining professionalism and efficiency.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including email correspondence.
• Familiarity with order entry processes and scheduling systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills to address customer concerns and resolve account issues.
