Customer Service Representative
Description We are looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our team in San Diego, California. As part of a non-profit organization, you will play a vital role in connecting individuals to essential services and resources while delivering exceptional customer experiences. This is a Contract-to-Permanent position that offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact within the community. At 6 months this role will turn to hybrid!! Responsibilities: • Respond to incoming inquiries and provide accurate information, referrals, or assistance tailored to the caller’s needs. • Record all interactions promptly and accurately in web-based systems to ensure proper documentation. • Stay informed about available services and resources to provide up-to-date guidance to clients. • Collaborate with internal teams to address client needs efficiently and effectively. • Maintain a high level of professionalism and empathy in all communications. • Utilize CRM platforms and other software tools to manage customer information and service delivery. • Assist clients with billing inquiries, benefit functions, and other service-related issues. • Handle inbound calls with a focus on resolving issues and enhancing customer satisfaction. • Leverage expertise in systems such as Avaya CMS and Epic Software to streamline customer service operations. Requirements • Associate's degree or higher preferred; equivalent experience and education beyond high school will be considered. • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a call center or customer service role. • Background in public health, social work, psychology, sociology, criminology, or related fields is advantageous. • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and empathetically. • Proficiency in web-based systems, chat platforms, and Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is highly preferred. • Familiarity with CRM systems, billing functions, and benefit-related processes. • Experience using tools like ADP, Avaya CMS, Epic Software, and other computer programs relevant to customer service operations.
