Customer Service Representative
Description We are looking for a dedicated Customer Service Representative to join our team on a contract basis in Tustin, California. In this role, you will act as a Dispatcher, supporting utility coordination and ensuring a seamless transition for residents moving into our properties. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: • Assist residents with utility-related inquiries, ensuring prompt and thorough resolution within established service guidelines. • Collaborate with internal teams and third-party utility vendors to address escalated issues and ensure smooth service activation. • Provide consistent and clear communication to residents, tailoring responses to their unique needs and situations. • Gain a deep understanding of utility processes and anticipate potential challenges or escalations. • Stay well-versed in resident-facing programs and platforms, including smart home technology and resident portals, to offer comprehensive support. • Contribute to the development and implementation of sustainability programs that align with organizational goals. • Analyze reports from third-party vendors to track service progress, verify accuracy, and address discrepancies. • Serve as a liaison between internal departments and external partners, resolving issues related to service delays or disconnections. • Monitor and manage exceptions, ensuring timely follow-ups and resolutions. • Maintain accurate records of interactions and updates in the CRM and property management systems. Requirements • At least 2 years of experience in customer service, with a proven ability to handle high-volume tasks. • Strong passion for assisting others and delivering outstanding service. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRM systems. • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with exceptional listening abilities. • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, multitask effectively, and work independently. • Highly organized with strong time management skills and attention to detail. • Familiarity with property management systems, such as Yardi, and experience handling utilities or billing functions is a plus.
