Customer Service Representative
Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Customer Service Representative in our Houston, Texas office. In this role, you will handle a wide range of tasks, including processing customer credit applications, maintaining customer records, and resolving customer inquiries. You will also monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions when required. Responsibilities: • Provide accurate and timely communication on all price and product availability requests • Receive, process, and manage customer orders, understanding the specific product and shipping requirements • Maintain the customer cross reference file and shipping arrangements in current programs and on the customer master profiles • Monitor the daily status of all late or held orders while exploring alternatives for timely delivery through other shipment methods or product substitution solutions • Respond promptly and accurately to customer inquiries regarding order, shipment, and invoice statuses • Collaborate with Product Marketing and Field Sales to address any customer issues • Utilize all resources effectively to meet or exceed customer expectations where standard procedures may fall short • Maintain a high level of accuracy in all documentation • Handle inbound and outbound calls, email correspondence, and schedule appointments • Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and order entry systems. Requirements • Proficiency in answering inbound calls effectively and professionally. • Proven experience in call center customer service. • Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality customer service. • Capable of performing accurate data entry tasks. • Proficient in email correspondence, with an emphasis on professionalism and timeliness. • Experience with both inbound and outbound calls. • Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and report generation. • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, including document creation, editing, and formatting. • Experience in order entry, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail. • Ability to schedule appointments efficiently, balancing customer needs and company availability.
