Avionics Customer Account Management is searching for a motivated individual to provide direct leadership to a team of about a dozen Customer Account Managers (CAMs) located in Wilson, NC. The CAMs are intermediate to experienced professionals who provide support to aerospace customers who purchase products from the Fire Protection Systems Business Unit for use primarily in Commercial, Government, and Military applications.
A key aspect of this role is the development, evaluation, and support of team members to ensure efficient operation of the department. This includes workforce planning and organizational development initiatives such as talent management, process improvement, standard work implementation, performance management, change management and training to ensure operational excellence and the development of staff skills, team building and professionalism.
The ideal candidate is a proven leader who is confident, proactive, and able to excel in a fast-paced environment where responsibilities are wide ranging, issues are not always black and white, and priorities can shift on a dime. The candidate must be a strong relationship builder but one who does not shy away from crucial conversations. They must be an independent decision maker and problem solver who will set objectives, act as a guide, and encourage independence and self-confidence while holding team members accountable for their success in the CAM role.
**_This is an onsite role located in Wilson, NC._**
**WHAT YOU WILL DO:**
+ Ensure team members can execute daily required activities in a timely and accurate manner, in line with contractual obligations, International Trade Compliance and Government requirements. Primary activities include Request for Quote response, Purchase Order review, Sales Order entry and management, demand planning support, Quality Escape administration, customer communication, Accounts Receivable collections support, and requests for internal business support.
+ Serve as an escalation point for internal and external customer issues; responsible for driving resolution and facilitating communication between customers and internal business functions to solve issues. May communicate directly with external customers.
+ Develop or improve, document, and deploy standard work processes or metrics in support of continual improvement and efficiency of the team.
+ Responsible for effective new hire onboarding and training activities.
+ Responsible for account transition decisions and successful execution of account transitions between CAMs.
+ Promote and provide guidance for CAM career development aspirations.
+ Lead or support external customer visits.
+ Prepare and present effective slide presentations to internal or external customers, including senior leadership levels.
+ May travel approximately 5-10%, may include international travel.
**QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE:**
+ Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience.
+ Experience utilizing Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams.
+ SAP or similar ERP/MRP systems experience.
+ Experience with manufacturing SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning) principles.
+ Prior experience in a customer-facing or vendor-facing role.
**QUALIFICATIONS WE PREFER:**
+ Prior experience leading direct reports.
+ Experience with OEM and Airline Customer Support practices.
+ Knowledge of Government Contracting rules and regulations including FARS/DFARS and DPAS rating requirements.

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
